When are you covered as an EA Coach?

As a benefit of your Equestrian Australia direct membership (associated as an individual through your State Branch), you are covered under the following policies;

Personal Accident (Injuries)
Public & Product Liability (Third Party Personal Injury and Property Damage)

This cover provides protection 24 hours, 7 days a week in respect of your non-income earning equestrian activities. For further information on this, see EA Member section.

Equestrian Australia Coaches Insurance Program Overview

Additionally, as an EA insured Coach, you are covered under the following policies;

Personal Accident (Injuries)
Public & Product Liability (Third Party Personal Injury and Property Damage)
Professional Indemnity (Error or Omission)

The Personal Accident cover provides protection 24 hours, 7 days a week in respect of;

All hazards which a coach is exposed to whilst engaged in coaching, excluding travel to and from such activities.

The Liability & Professional Indemnity cover provides protection;

At all times whilst coaching.

The insurance is effective at the point your State Branch confirms your membership details and payment, as well as your NCAS qualifications.

Agistment
Horse training (outside a student lesson)
Float hire
Competing a student’s horse whilst being paid
